Working Towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award

As part of their Skill section of the Duke of Edinburgh Award, Elm Class worked hard collecting lots of recycling in school. The pupils made their own recycling bins and shared them around all the classes. They collected paper, cardboard, plastics and metals.

On Thursday, they visited a recycling centre in Boldon to dispose of all the things that they had collected. Then they read the side of each bin to see where to dispose of the materials, and worked really well together as a class. After this, they visited an Asda store, which was close by, and had a hot drink and lots of fun with their friends.
