Rivers and Bridges

This half term the children are learning about the water cycle. We have been able to do lovely things. In English our texts and work have all been around water and the water cycle, we have had some lovely books to read, and in Geography we have been learning about rivers and bridges and the different aspects of rivers. This week we have started to make our own river models and were very lucky to have a visit from a lady called Claire from The Wear River Trust who spoke to us about the aspects of a river and the things they are doing within the trust to ensure our rivers are safe and flowing as they should. We are looking forward to our class trip next week to see an exhibition on the River Tyne.
